So yesterday I took my laptop into Office Depot so that they could take a look at it to make sure it wasn’t a small problem. The guy didn’t seem to know much in the first place…but told me to take it home and call the 800 number. He said to tell them what is going on with it and they will send me a box to send it to them. Okay fine. But of course did I call yesterday, nope. My computer was working fine. I turned it off last night and today when I came back to it (almost 12 hours later) it would not bring anything on the screen. The lights all light up and it sounds like its starting to load but then nothing. No picture, no sounds, just lights. I’ve tried all the normal tricks of leaving it unplugged for a while and trying again. I also removed the battery for a while. As a last resort, but one I was hoping would work, I plugged it into the monitor from the desktop to see if I could get a picture on that screen. Nope! 
Such a sad day. Big Monkey took his laptop to work too, so now I only have the quite slow desktop, which is in the office and not out in the living room. Needless to say, I will be digging through my paperwork to find the number and call Office Depot and hopefully get my laptop fixed ASAP. So sad. Big Monkey made fun of me but said at least you have the desktop. I told him that he better be nice or his laptop would be the next one to go!
UPDATE–
After spending about 45 minutes on the phone with Adam from HP Tech Support, my computer still wasn’t doing much of anything. Lights on but nobody is home. So now I have no laptop for about 1.5-2 weeks. They will send me a box on Tues or Wed and I’ll send it back. Hopefully they can repair it and send it back quickly.
