Laptop Saga Take (Whatever Number We Are On!)

Friday I took my laptop into  Best Buy to have them put in the card reader that HP forgot to install when they shipped it back to me. I had called Best Buy the night before to ensure they had the part that I needed. I got to Best Buy just a little bit after they opened and headed straight over to the Geek Squad. Thankfully there was no one else wanting help from the Geek Squad. I explained my dilemma and my Geek went to work. He called over to get a part and they brought over what we needed. Well, that is what I thought. Come to find out I need an Express Slot Card Reader, which is what they had but mine only has about half the space for prongs than the one they had. They do not carry the card reader that I need and therefore Best Buy was not able to fix my laptop. So now, I will have to call HP back and try and figure out if they can just ship me the part. It is literally this simple to install: Remove from package. Slide into slot. Make sure it is fully in and connected. Computer will do the rest. So…maybe…just maybe…we can convince them to just send me the darn part or send it to Best Buy and let us put it in. It is crazy for my computer to be gone for who knows how long for such a simple fix. I will keep you posted on the crazy happenings.
