Big Bounce Fun Zone!

Last week I took Little Monkey to Big Bounce Fun Zone again. He loves that place. Much to my surprise, including in our admission that day was a cup of lemonade and a hot dog. This works out great for me because Little Monkey already brings food with him and cannot have that stuff anyhow, so I get to have lunch too. They now have new weekday specials which make it even better to go there! Little Monkey has lots of fun there and it usually wears him out and he sleeps well after we get home (This was NOT the case last week though.).

Here is a look at some of the current specials:

Pogo Sunday: Family Day, Purchase one, get one half off-Includes a slice of Pizza with paid admission. Mom and Dad get pizza too!
Tiny Tot Tuesday: Picnic Day 10a-1p $5 admission, siblings $2.50 each-Includes PB&J, Juice Box and Cookie.
Wacky Wednesday: $7 admission 2p,-close-Includes 4 Game tokens, Popcorn, Juice
Touch Down Thursday: $7.77 admission, Siblings $2 off. Includes Hot Dog and Lemonade.
Fun-Tastic Friday: $2 off 5 and over, $1 off 4 and under Includes an art project!
Let’s Party Saturday: 7pm Lights out, Disco Ball on!

Normally admission is $10 (Tuesday-Thursday) and $12 (Friday-Sunday and Holidays) for ages 5 and up and $5 for ages 4 and under. Adults can play for free; make sure you bring socks because they are required to play. If you don’t want to play with your child, you can hang out in the Parent Time-Out Room. It has free coffee, tv, nice couches, and closed circuit television to keep an eye on your kids. They also have free wi-fi if you want to get some work done or surf the internet (bring your own computer). They are closed on Mondays.

Publix This Week

I went to Publix on Thursday this week to pick up a few things that were on sale…and a few others that weren’t.

Here’s what we got:

Magazine ( We were $3 short of $50 and I had a Winn-Dixie coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase. So we picked up a magazine to get us there…it ended up being free along with some of the groceries.)

In the end, We spent $33.70 and between sales and coupons, we saved $45.52! I love a day when you save more than you spent! Not too bad when I ended up buying wipes that we needed but weren’t on sale too.

Owie On My Elmo.

Umm…what? Elmo has an owie? No….Owie on my elmo. And then he showed me.

And his knee.

Poor guy. All scraped up. He was out in the front yard/driveway playing while Big Monkey was working on the bike seat stuff. We washed him up and it looked much better, but all night he was telling me about the owie on his elmo.

So, at last check, my battery had been delayed again but was supposed to arrive on September 18th. Amazingly, on September 18th I did not receive a call to tell me that it would once again be delayed…but I also did not receive the battery. Late in the evening, I did finally get an email letting me know that my battery had shipped next day via Fed Ex. It did not show up on Friday though, as it was apparently being shipped on Friday. And of course it did not show up the next day by 10:30am because it was a Saturday and they didn’t pay for next day Saturday delivery. On Monday, after we got home from playing at a friend’s house, there was a box at our door! HOORAY!!!! It was my battery. I replaced it and got it all charged up. It is in great shape and has been holding a charge for a long time. (Honestly I can’t even tell you how long because it is forever compared to the ten minutes the old battery lasted!) I also boxed up the old, sad excuse for a battery and we dropped it off at Fed Ex later that day. I am so happy that this is finally resolved. Hopefully there are no more issues with my computer for a long time to come. My factory warranty has expired, but I do have the extended plan on it just in case.

Going For A Bike Ride

My friend Holly, was kind enough the other day to give us their old bike seat for a kid to ride along in. Big Monkey went and picked it up (along with the bike it was attached to) and brought it home. He went right to work trying to remove it from the bike to attach to his bike. Little Monkey had a great time playing outside and watching Big Monkey do the work. Little Monkey was quite excited to go on a bike ride. After a little while, Big Monkey had it removed from the other bike and installed on his. He blew up the tires on his bike and my bike so we could all go for a ride together. While I was inside closing up the house a little (It was so nice outside we had opened up most of the house to let the breeze through.), I heard a loud pop. Apparently one of the tires on my bikes popped. Oh well, guess I won’t be bike riding right now.

I helped Little Monkey into the seat and put on his seat belt. He was ready to go. And off they went. Just for a short ride around the block or so. When they got back, I asked Little Monkey if he had fun. He said yes and asked to go again. Big Monkey took him on another ride for quite awhile. When they got back, Big Monkey was sweating quite a bit and Little Monkey was still asking to go again. We told him that we would go for another ride in the morning.

Thanks again Holly! I’m sure he’ll be enjoying it for as long as we are able to fit him in it and bike him around!
