For Christmas, I got a great surprise present. (I didn’t have anything really on my list…and I would never ask for this because they are expensive….but I would LOVE to own one.) For Christmas, I got a new to me, Brother SE270D. What is that you ask….here you go:

It is a sewing and embroidery machine with some built in patterns and Disney characters! I was very excited about the new machine. Sadly, the first day we tried to use it we had some trouble. But after getting help from the lady my Mom and Dad got it from, we were in business. I finally got to sit down with it over the past few days to try and figure out the embroidery part. It is a slow process, and most things I have tried did not turn out right. (I even broke a needle!) I will keep practicing. I already have some people asking me to do some work for them. (Like putting names on stockings and such.) They are going to have to wait awhile. I don’t want to mess up anyone’s good fabrics! I also need to get more embroidery threads because right now I only have blue!
Hopefully with a little practice, I will start to actually produce cute designs and not mess up the fabrics or threads! In the meantime, if you have this machine, you should come over and help teach me how to use it! I could use the help!
Thanks Mom and Dad for my cool Christmas present!

Last week my computer decided that it did not want to connect to the internet anymore. I turned it off and decided that I would try it again at my Mom and Dad’s house. The only problem with that was that when I tried to turn it on again…nothing happened. Well the lights came on, but no noises and no video and the “thinking” light was not on.
I already told you that I took it into Office Depot but they told me to call the 800 number. I did that yesterday afternoon and talked to a nice guy who tried to make my computer work. He had me unplug everything and disconnect the battery. Then push the power button ten times. Then only plug it into the wall and turn it on. Nothing (except the blue lights). He said he thinks there is a short…so he filed a claim for me. I will be receiving a box in 2-3 business days and I will box up my computer and ship it out. The company will try and fix it and I SHOULD have it back NO LATER than January 12th. (I’m hopeful…but not too sure that this will really happen.) If they are not able to fix it, they will try to get me a replacement. If they cannot get me a replacement, then they will send me a gift card for the value of the computer I have and I can go buy a new computer. At this point, I’m not sure what the best option is!
So, in the meantime I will be sharing a computer with Big Monkey (and maybe Amy), so once again, no guarantees that I will have regular, or even decent, blog posts, but I will try!

Well….sadly my computer has decided to die…again…I’m NOT happy about this, but hopefully I can work on it tomorrow and get the ball rolling. I took it in to Office Depot tonight but they told me to call some 800 number and they should be able to do something. (Let’s hope so!)
Right now the computer will only turn on some of the lights…but makes no noise and the “thinking” light, as I call it, does not flash or go on at all. Not a good sign.
So the posting might be limited for a bit but hopefully soon I can get some stuff together and have some new posts.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! (I’ll tell you about ours later!)

Today is the day after Christmas…Amy and I will be heading down to West Palm Beach for the night and tomorrow. We plan to see some of her friends and also spend some time at the salon getting our hair done and nails done. Little Monkey will be heading to the beach with his Grammy and Pops.
We will possibly also be doing some shopping…you never know what you might find after Christmas on clearence! I know Big Monkey would be happy if I could find some more LED lights for cheap for next year. Other than that…I don’t know that I’m looking for anything specific yet, although I would like to get some stuff for my new sewing machine. (Hopefully we can get it working and figured out!) I also have a few more Christmas gifts to pick up…so maybe I can find something for that too!

It was a crafty weekend at our house! After working on the Christmas Tree Puzzle Ornaments, I decided we would try our hand at the snowman ornaments that I wanted to make. We had actually tried to make them last year, but Little Monkey was not able to make a hand print well enough for it to really look like a hand print. Little Monkey was excited to paint again and was happy to show Big Monkey his hand filled with paint!

He did a great job putting his hand print on each ornament and taking his hand right off. I did all the detail work, adding hats, scarfs, eyes, noses, buttons and ribbon. Little Monkey loved them and was excited to put them on our tree. He wanted to put ALL of them on our tree, but I convinced him that one was enough and that we would give the other ones away. So yes…if you receive one of these from Little Monkey, please act like you like it…for his sake. Oh who am I kidding…act like you like it for me! Here is a look at them while they were drying.
