The Party Continues…

March 11, 2008

As promised, Little Monkey was spoiled some more with his birthday party on Sunday with Big Monkey’s family. Everyone came over (Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, Aunt) and we had a good dinner of some boneless ribs, pasta with herbs side, cheesy bread, and corn. Little Monkey had some corn and carrots, both of which he would have rather not had (and pretty much didn’t). We also had a great cake with homemade icing that Grandma made. We still have some leftover and I imagine it will be breakfast for the rest of the week! So healthy! Little Monkey had a special cupcake made just for him since he can’t have regular cake. He only had about two bites but did have a nice faceplant into the icing!

We also got to open some wonderful gifts. Little Monkey made out like a bandit! We let him open the TMX Elmo Special Edition I told you about. I think the adults may have enjoyed him even more than Little Monkey. Grandma had previously given her gifts to Little Monkey. She got him a toy organizer (similar to this) and a room darkening shade. One of his Aunt’s got him two nice shirts from Old Navy. He looks very cute and preppy in them. She also got him some fun Bath Crayons to color on his body and the tub. She even gave him a bath and let him test them out! Little Monkey’s Aunt and Uncle got him Candyland and a toy chainsaw. He loved the chainsaw immediately and his Uncle took him outside to play with it.

It was a fun time and Little Monkey was spoiled. He gets to have yet another “party” with my side of the family this coming weekend. More spoiling likely to come.
Little Monkey did receive a package from his Grammy and Pops in the mail on Monday. We opened it up and he got a cool Mickey Mouse cup, a Blue’s Clues plate, a travel-sized Elmo Aquadoodle and an Elmo balloon. I think he loved/loves playing with the balloon the most!!
