Allowing Us To Be Lazy

Everyday companies seem to continue to come up with new products that help us to become even more lazy. (No wonder most of America is Obese.) I don’t really know where it started but I’m sure we could make a long list of examples.

I received my Creative Ideas magazine from Lowe’s in the mail this week and found this new product. It was  on the back page of the magazine with the title “Take the Chore out of Washing.” Well of course that caught my attention, which I’m sure was the goal of the writers. I looked into it a little more and read about a new product.

Maytag Fresh Hold Washer

The magazine says this, “Keep your laundry fresh with the new Maytag Fresh Hold washer. The washer’s built-in fan helps prevent odors from forming on damp clothes for up to 12 hours. You’ll have plenty of time to move the clothes to the dryer.”

Even Maytag’s website has this to say about the new washer:
“The industry’s first built-in fan is part of Dynamic Venting Technology™ and helps keep clean laundry from smelling bad, so you can wash tonight and dry tomorrow. Stop worrying about leaving clothes in the washer too long.”

So, if you cannot manage to move your laundry within a relatively decent amount of time, you should go out and buy the new Maytag Fresh Hold washer. And then feel free to leave your wet laundry in there up to 12 hours!

  1. MOM says:

    My kind of washer!!! :o)

  2. My washing machine makes a beeping noise when the cycle is finished. The noise is very annoying, which in my view is a good thing because I am compelled to get off my a** and do something – rather than leave it for up to 12 hours.
