Little Chelsea is about to turn one year old! (Ack! How is this possible? That means not much longer until Little Monkette turns 1 also!) We went to celebrate with her family and friends for her birthday this weekend. I was having a hard time deciding what to make or buy for her. I had some leftover fabric that her mom bought me for the Big Sis / Lil Sis onesies and decided to use it for a shirt for Chelsea.
I got a long sleeve tee from Walmart to add some fabric to. I’m hoping she’ll be able to still wear it into winter. I used the Cricut to cut out a big C and some hearts. I put the C on the shirt and added two hearts to it. I had some extra hearts and decided to put one on the back of the shirt too.
I used Heat-n-Bond to attach the fabric to the shirt and then added some stitching around the the letter and the hearts to help keep them in place. It may end up with a little bit of fraying after some washing and wearing but I think that adds to the cute look.
I have been having a lot of fun with all these onesies and creations this week! If only I had tons of time to spend sewing!!
