Teacher Appreciation Week- Day 1

Today is the first day of teacher appreciation week. We have planned a week’s worth of gifts for Little Monkey’s teachers. Little Monkey has two teachers and an aide who helps out a lot. We have decided to give all three of them gifts each day of the week. Thanks to lots of great ideas online, we have been working on some projects.

Monday’s gift was Smores!

I found this idea and free printable at Domesticated Lady. She posted about this idea last year and has more great ideas this year.

I printed the bag toppers off of her site and then bought some miniature Hershey bars. Everything else we had at our house! I’m keeping track of the money spent on our gifts (trying to do something nice but low cost), so since we had everything on hand except the Hershey bars, tat is all I”m figuring into the cost. Hershey bars were $1 for 10 bars and we only used three. So 30cents (plus a little more for the extras) for all three gifts! 🙂

To make your own Smore gift you will need:

Small Hershey (or other chocolate) bars
Marshmallows (We used the GIANT size.)
1 sheet graham cracker split in half
Small plastic goody bag
Printable Tag (On the back of the tag are instructions for cooking the smore in the microwave!)

We need s'more teachers like you!

Little Monkey was very excited about the presents for his teachers. He helped bag everything up and could hardly wait to take them to his teachers today.

Excuse the no shirt-we had been swimming! 🙂

I just stole this idea to do for the girls’ teachers tomorrow! We had everything but the chocolate bars too, so it was great. And tomorrow’s suggested “theme” for teacher appreciation week is something homemade, so this was perfect! Thanks for the idea!

This is so cute, Kati! And what an awesome parent you are to acknowledge teachers in such a thoughtful way.

I looked at lots of teacher gift ideas and I LOVED this one. We made bars for the teachers but I think they need a S’more too!
