For day three, we gave the teachers each a picture frame with crayons around them and a quote inside. We started off with three unfinished $1 frames from Michaels. I let Little Monkey pick out some paint colors and he decided to paint each frame a different color. Once the paint dried, we lined up some crayons and hot glued them to the frame. Little Monkey wrote his name on the back and I added his last name, the year and the class he was in (Pre-K). I found the quote online and photoshopped it with a picture of some crayons. I printed the pictures at Walgreens. We wrapped them up in some matching colored tissue paper.
The quote inside the frames says, “Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up. ” Allen Klein
Underneath that we put, “Thank you for being the bright colors in our lives.”
Total spent on this project:
3 frames $3
64 pk crayons $1
3 photos printed at Walgreens 61cents
paint, hot glue and wrapping supplies, on hand.
$4.61 for 3 teacher gifts!
